SCSI emulation to burn a cd?

I'm having problems to burn cd. The only program that I have installed to do so is K3b and it seems that it does't recognise my burner because it is not scsi. I tried 'modprobe ide-scsi', as suggested by K3b, to see if my kernel support scsi emulation and it failed.
What shoud I do? I'm a newbie and I have no clues on how to build a new kernel or a module. Is there an easiest way to burn a cd?
Thanks alot for your help!

In your lilo.conf file, you need to have the following line:

append="hdc=ide-scsi"

Then run lilo (as root), and re-boot.

You could also try X-CD-Roast.
