Rebuild GTK in MDK 9.1

For some reason an installation file can not recongnize that i have GTK installed, it tries to run this command

gtk-config -v

or soemthing like that. i know i have gtk installed, but i am trying to install mplayer and i keep getting the error that gtk is not installed. so, is there an easy way to reinstall gtk from the mdk cds?

it may be looking for the gtk headers (?)
i've had/got mplayer on kde with mdk9.1 and have'nt seen that problem before

try installing libgtk+extra0-devel

Hmm

Use GTK 1.2

You may have GTK 2.0 installed..but not 1.2.

Many programs prefer 1.2 and I believe that gtk-config is a 1.2 proggie..

Best of Luck..

Make sure too you have the development files as well installed for 1.2

btw ... Use the RPMs , as compiling GTK from scratch is a nightmare
