RealPlayer plugin with Opera & Firefox fails

I have installed Real plugin and latest Opera & Firefox. The embedded videos at the BBC site fail to play - the plugin starts but only displays a white screen and no controls. The streams play okay in the stand-alone Realplayer.

Any help?

I do not like r media but in opera double check the following

Tools/Preferences/downloads (yep)/

scroll down or search for ra for audio or rv for video

on each click edit and ensure you have bottom pathway correct for plugin and then unselect download and select open with opera

oooo....err ! Followed your advice and this is what I get:

under MIME type for realaudio plugin it says file extension rpm

under MIME type for realaudio it says ra, ram

the download is to /home/guest/OperaDownloads/

I am really confused!!

Under Handlers for saved files it lists files (fallback) and folders kfcmclient exec.
Both are checked.

Help!

This is getting ridiculous! compared to Windows!!!!

I have messed around with Opera and realplayer - now the ra,ram mimetypes have disappeared! I set them to use plugin - I got the realplayer embedded player AND an error message saying that it couldn't handle rrtsp! But at least all the player controls were visible this time, just unuasable. This is a real pain compared with Windows plugins!

Choosing "windows media player" in the bbc video preferences (top right of the video popup) works for me.
