Missing Cyrillic encoding in Mandrake 9.2

Hi! Few days ago I decided to watch a movie (divx), for a first time after I installed Mandrake 9.2. Surprising subtitles was not encoded correctly, so I get to the settings of MPlayer and set the correct encoding, but... noting happens. I have Cyrillic fonts installed. Also I found that I don't have cyrillic encoding at all. Any idea?

I have Russian language set as default on MDK9.2 , as to the fonts and encoding in system (console, partitions) you shouldn't choose 'unicode' during install first stages.(Don't know why - found it somewhere in forums).
But I still have problem - can't get encoding work properly in dcgui & several other apps.

sorry for my not perfect English
