PrinterDrake doesn't see my HP 2550n

We've got a HP 4600 color LaserJet here in the office, and PrinterDrake in Mandrake Control Center sees it on the network as a postscript level 2 printer. So I recently bought an HP 2550n which has postscript level 3 emulation, but PrinterDrake doesn't see it on the LAN. If I change to advanced mode and select lpd and then manually enter the printer's IP address it works fine... just kind of annoying its not visible and can't be automatically configured. Perhaps it's a configuration setting on the printer I'm missing tho, so if anyne knows please clue me in.

How do I make an HP network printer announce itself on the LAN so CUPS can see it?

TIA.
