Passwords

I know the answer is out there somewhere. I'm still having problems with passwords that die on me- no longer works after 15 days or whatever, after the initial installation. I have read somewhere Redhat with a similar problems and was able to resolve it using "chage" command. Tried and failed. I also used Userdrake, Webmin, and Linuxconf no avail. I upgraded MD 9.2 from MD9.1. Any help would be appreciated. The only way I can get on is root.

If you create a user with the adduser command, it will prompt for an expiration period for the password. If you enter 0 or leave it blank, it will make it unlimited.

Actually I'm not sure but adduser is a Slackware script that uses the useradd command to add users. In Mandrake you will want to use the useradd command, not sure if they have it linked to useradd or not, or if they've made their own script, etc.
