Opening a Divx.avi file?

I tried opening a Divx.avi file and it crashes on me. Can madrake open this type of file up?

It plays for a while then crashes, Xine or Kaffine wont even handle it.

Have you installed the latest win32 codecs from the PLF Mandrake repository and tested your multimedia players with other divx.avi files?

shouldn't need any win32 junk for any divx file. may be that the file itself is corrupted though, mplayer normally does a very good job of playing anythign thrown at it.
