I am convinced that Mandrake Linux is by far better than windows xp operating system performance wise. I had mandrake running on Pentium II PC and it worked very well. I later upgraded to an AMD Athlon 1400 XP box and an AMD Athlon 2800 XP box. Works even better. I can actually run 8-10 different applications at 1 time without my system booging down. Heck try that with Windows XP.
I spoke to a Computer Programer at work today and he agreed with me, Linux is by far more stable and runs cleaner and smoother than Windows XP. They used actual Linux servers which I did not know until today.
Now the enitre office is setup with Windows operating system running on a Network, but I feel that's the case because everyone is more familiar with that operating system.

If you like XP keep it. I and many other people don't. It's your choice. I'll keep my Linux and not have the viruses or spyware. And I can download my software for free and run it on any machine. I bet if you had another box you wanted to install XP on you'd have to buy another copy
To me it's not only performance but philosophy.
