no login prompt after exiting KDE

Using Mandrake 10.1 "Official".

Immediately after logging out of KDE screen goes blank. Screen stays blank. Can't get to login prompt.

How to fix?

Are you using an Intel integrated graffics card? Something based on i810. I had the same problem with a compaq a buddy had that would do the same thing, can't remember how we fixed it. Google is your friend on this one. Found lots about this problem when I was trouble shooting.

I have an integrated intel graphics card, so could you post the site you found here? I just screwed up my computer by choosing the wrong choice in xorgconfig.
