no cardctl or cardmgr

I am trying to load a wireless pcmcia card in Mdk9.2.

The cardctl and cardmgr returned with no pcmcia driver in /proc/devices.

I have loaded the rpm's pcmcia-cs-3.2.4-2mkh and pcmcia-cs-X11-3.2.4-2mkh

anyone suggest what is missing. I had previously loaded RH9.0 and it found the card, but want to run mandrake instead.

Surely, wireless on mandrake cannot be so hard to load?

What kind of card is it? It might be supported, might not. We don't know this until you provide more details on your hardware that is used.

Another post I just answered said 9.2 did the same thing, could be a bug, might not. You can probably modprobe the module and then configure from there.

Cheers.

Thanks, didn't know about Modprobe and cannot test this out now, since I upgraded to man 10.0 beta 2. Card works first time without further configuration.

The learning curve is only when something doesn't work.
