Can others confirm that everything in KDE 3.3.2 works fine from an upgrade from the default KDE 3.2.3 in Mandrake 10.1?
Maybe I'm too much of a risktaker when it comes to Linux stuff, but I installed it.
Be forewarned that unless you really know what you're doing (I didn't), you probably should wait for somebody to put a good tutorial or something up. Also make sure that you have a lot of space in /usr/. I really botched the installation in so many ways, and it probably took 6 hours to get everything sorted out.
In any case, there are no serious noticable problems (i.e., things that couldn't have happened in 3.2.3). Even MenuDrake works fine (I was prepared to use KDE's menu editor, but I can still choose between the two). I tried out most of the other "Drake" junk, and it all seems to run just fine too.
Originally posted by jaugen How do you add http://rpm.nyvalls.se/10.1/RPMS to urpmi.addmedia with all the sub directories, specifically kde-3.3.2.
Thanks in advance.
Good question, I tried using a few commands and even the windows version of urpmi and can't figure that one out. I was able to get http://rpm.nyvalls.se/10.1/RPMS/ but not the /kde-3.3.2 directory.

What were these commands?
When I tried using an update thing, it gave these errors:
Code:

I know what the problem is, but I don't know what to use instead to avoid errors.
