need assist with boot floppy creation
I need to create a boot floppy for my mandrake 10 installation. I've tried using mkbootdisk but haven't been able to get a good usable boot floppy yet. As shown in the snip below, I get an error during the disk creation process. I've tried several new and used floppy disks and always get the same error: I am using 1.44 floppy disks and have even tried pre-formatting them with the fdformat command. I have no other problem reading and writing with this floppy drive.
**************************************************************
[root@penguin voth1]# mkbootdisk --device /dev/fd0 2.6.3-7mdk -v
Insert a disk in /dev/fd0. Any information on the disk will be lost.
Press <Enter> to continue or ^C to abort:
Formatting /dev/fd0... done.
Copying /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.3-7mdk... done.
Creating initrd image... cp: writing `/tmp/mkbootdisk/initrd.img':
No space left on device Error !
[root@penguin voth1]#

The disk does seem to go ahead and finish creating even after getting the error, and I can boot with it, but when I try to load vmlinuz from the Boot: prompt, Linux starts loading, then hangs when it tries to mount the root file system as shown below:
*****************************************************************
Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on md0

What am I doing wrong ?
