Hi Folks,

I just upgraded to 9.2 (Five Star) from 9.1 (Bamboo) and everything appeared to
go smoothly, until I went down to the taskbar to click on the Shell icon and it
wasn't there. Then I looked around the menu and couldn't find any terminal window
programs. (Telnet was the closest I could find to a terminal :-(

Please help. I need to get a terminal window so I can work with the Bash shell.

I am running an IBM ThinkPad T20 dual boot with Mandrake 9.2 and Win2K.
PIII 700 Mhz., 256 RAM, 20 Gig HD.

If you're using KDE go to the menu, select "Run command" and put in konsole
Likewise with GNOME but put in gnome-terminal

If you don't want to use either of those, there's also xterm or rxvt installed by default.

To get it back on the taskbar, create a launcher to whichever terminal you want, be it konsole, gnome-terminal, xterm, rxvt, or any other. You can also add it back to the menu using menudrake.
