Mdk9.2 useradd or ls -l take all memory
Hi guys,
I have upgrade from mandrake 8.2 to 9.2 on a server with reiserfs partitions.
the upgdare take long long ( 5 hours) useradd and groupadd during install take a while. The install finished meanwhile and the system reboot correctly.
The probleme i have noticed is :
a file owned by a group which is not declared in /Etc/group hang a ls -l .
top show that the ls takes a lot of memory as well as virtual memory.
useradd doesn't work as well ( eg seems hang and take memory )
After fixing all group issues, ls -l works file. BUT every morning msec-find make
the system to hang due to a lake of memory (VM killing processes )
I beleave that this is connected to the same probleme. (Is it related to reiserfs ?)
I Have no idea why the useradd hang .Is something goes wrong with the update ?Haven't seen any post related to the same issue.
Has anybody experience such problemes ? Someone have aany clue or ideas for me to try before i scrtach everything and reinstall ?
Thanks for your help
Marc
