mdk9.1 and softmodem sis630 (smlink driver)


I've just found and installed the smlink driver for my s630 softmodem (on a notebook Asus L2480D). It seems to work well (it is recognized and I can use all the AT command).
Simply it just doesn't dials!!!
I used the following commands:

ATZ
ATX3
ATDT (the number)

Of course the modem is connected to the phone line :-) (...and it works fine under windows XP).

Are you using minicom, kermit, or what?
try reading http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Modem-HOWTO-11.html
