Hey all,

I just installed Mandrake this past weekend and said my final goodbye to Microsoft forever!!! It was quite fun formatting my hard drive and getting a fresh start.

Anyway, I am going to be setting up my machine in a new apartment this week and will need to use wi-fi. Can anyone suggest a wireless card and router combo that is known to work in MDK 9.2? Any pitfalls I should watch out for?

My system is running on :

P4 2.4ghz
P4P Asus mobo
512mb ram
75gig Sata hard drive
26 gig eide hard drive
Geforce 4 TI-4200 128mb video card

It's best to go for .b actually.
I have found best results with Orinocco.cs and prism cards and they are tried and true IMO. I just plug them in, and they work.
.g Broadcom based cards seem to work, but I haven't personally used them yet. I am having no joy with an Atheros tri-band card.

As for the router, get absolutely anything -just make sure that it uses a web interface so it is not OS specific. I like netgear devices, although the current belkin .g router and cards look like a good deal.
