Mandriva 2008 - Do I need all these boot entries?

I recently installed Mandriva 2008 Spring on my desktop.
At first I only had three entries on my GRUB boot screen namely:

Boot Mandriva Linux 2008 Spring
Boot Mandriva Linux (Failsafe Mode)
Windows XP

After running an update on the system and setting up my HP all-in-one printer I find I have two new entries:

desktop586 2.6.24.4-1mnb
desktop586 2.6.24.5-2mnb

They all boot OK but it seems overkill to have so many boot entries.
Should I just keep the desktop586 2.6.24.5-2mnb, Failsafe Mode and Windows XP entries and delete the others or is that a bit risky?

you can easily remove the desktop586 2.6.24.4-1mnb.

I would leave the original kernel just for backup.

go to "configure your computer/boot/setup boot system", click next.

here you can modify the content of the bootloader menu.

cheers, Glenn
