Ok this just occurred to me. The spokesman for Mandrake...excuse me Mandriva's name is really Duval? Sorry but that one has me rolling that means Devil in Flemish.

Now Now - lets not get personal about peoples names
Remember the famous Robert Duval's famous line
"I love the smell of napalm in the morning"
from Apocalypse Now

Why did they have to change it to that name? It's bad enough telling everyone that I use Linux, now when I tell them the name of the distro they just laugh at me.

I beliave that the options in the poll to be maniqueist (too strongly oposed, eighter love or hate).

It would better reveal public opinion by having intermediary options.

I disliked the new name, but only slightly

Sure it's not a very fair poll, but I think that it gets across the point that it is pretty ridiculous.

Although I must confess that typing that new name seems a lot easier and more relaxing than Mandrake. It just rolls off the keyboard. Still a stupid name though.

Agreed. I stubbornly refuse to type "harddriva" to get to my hardware config :P
