Due to post#1 & #3 in this thread I am assuming Mandrake cd starts to load then craps out on you. So I'll assume boot order in bios is correct.

You stated you are trying to install Mandrake 10. Can you specify if that is 10.0 or 10.1 and is it Official or Community edition.

Also is this a laptop machine?

Do as you did when you tried to install previously but choose F2 for more options type in text and follow instructions .
