Mandrake Fails On Bootup

I installed mandrake 10, and choose the option to boot mandrake from floppy, but when it comes to load it, all I see is the letter L and nothing else... Whats going on?

I alos tried the whole lilo thing instead, but that does exactly the same thing

Its odd because when I used to have mandrake 9.2 installed the bootloader worked perfectly... Then i removed the lilo enty by typing lilo - u or something then removed the partiton in partition magic.

But then recently I decided I need Mandrake again and its doing this... Its soooo odd...
