Mandrake 9.2 lost all programs after trying to add more packages from KDE.
Hello, everyone!
I am a novice Mandrake user and I am already in trouble
I tried to install additional software from the main configuration window, but after that all the software was gone. No programs, even the internet browser would work.
I have already re-installed Mandrake, but would like to know if someone had similar problem and how they fixed it. Thanks!
I had the same problem, the think is i am new at this to.
I selected (or deselected) a list of programs in the "Software Package Installation" to install, but, after reboot, a lot of programs was gone (¿?), so, what i did, insert disk 1 and reboot, ans select UPDATE, and everything comer to normal.....
that's all i know
I did this because i wanted to select some services i didnt find (WEB Serer, Mail server, DNS Server)
do you know how to configure this kind of services?
Thank you, Edcutis.
I also re-installed my Linux and just figured out how to install my NVIDIA drivers. Now I will try installing additional packages again.
