DOA LQ Newbie Registered: Sep 2003 Distribution: Mandrake 10.0 Posts: 14 Rep:	Mandrake 10CE and SATA I've been reading on good and bad stories about installing SATA drives in Linux and am planning on getting one for my system. It seems that Maxtor drives seem to work the best. How well is the support for SATA drives in Mandrake 10CE? Do I need to compile anything into the kernel or will it recognize the drive just like any IDE drive?
