Mandrake 10 Installer is FUBAR!

I decided to give mdk 10 CE a spin tonight. I downloaded the ISOs, burt them with a updated NERO. and i booted up the first CD. problem. the first 2 minutes of the install run smoothly, but then it doesnt allow anything to install. it will do nothing for 10 minutes then say "OpenOffice.org Could not be unpacked, Continue?" and this will happen about 500 times. i didnt even try to boot it. i tried to install it twice and same crap happens. what a waste of 3 $.10 CD-Rs

corupt installer?

Sorry that you are having bad luck. The installer worked fine for me, Go back and make new CD's from the ISO's . Think about looking into your burning software, speed, etc. The installer works, and from what you have stated so far I would suspect the media.

Actually Ive read some number of people having this problem...I myself have had no problems. What burner/media brand are you using? Although its highly unlikely that its the burner or media since cdburners nowadays pretty much burn everything...Maybe you got a crc error on your download without knowing?

SuSE 9.0, (which has now been formatted) to Mandrake 10? i thought that only works if its the same Distro :S

alright, get this. I reinstall SuSE, download the latest K3B, and i check the MD5checksum of the ISO. it all checks out. i then burn it at 8x, and i tell k3b to verify the disc. it all checks out. but im still having the same problem. also CD1 does not boot. i have to put in CD2 and then instaer CD1 to get into the install. wierd.

I had a problem several times installing Mandrake the same as you. Each time it turned out one of my disks was bad. After reburning them using a different program they installed no problem.
