Why oh why are you basically asking the SAME question over and over...
I've answered you MANY times already...
SET UP YOUR URPMI SOURCE!
See my sig.
This is a -MUST-
Then whenver you are missing something...
urpmi m4
That's it.
What are you doing compling things if you are this new to Linux?
Stay away from compilations, everything you'll ever need is available via URPMI.
If you run rpmdrake you'll get a nice GUI which lists out everything and what it does... AFTER you set up your sources...

thanks for the help. I did urpmi and did f77 and other , I am familiar with linux not
with installation with xp , I used to do redhat 8.0 old one.
thanks anyway, used to hve redhat lincenced package, so it has everything, I thought
about update to mandrake that causes this problem , may be easier if I buy the distributions.
sorry again
thanks anyway

If you want to buy MDK that's fine but you don't get _that_ much more.
And your problems, like not having m4 installed, would be exactly the same had you done
the same installation with a bought MDK Powerpack for instace.
Your basic problem is that you haven't installed the things you subsequently seem to need.
If you follow opjoses advice you should be able to install all the necessery programs.
