lost the data...please help me...
I loaded mandrake linux...i burn some data into CD-RW using K3B.It said successfully written...after open the cd there is no data in it..when i open in windows every thing is there...what is the reason the linux not shown the file... please help me....

Most likely k3b deleted that. By default it has option "delete ater successful burn"
Did you check that option??!!

hi there
what data did u write in th CDand mode did u choose for it
like packet mode or track at once
as far as i remember u need to have support for" UDF file system support (UDF_FS)" if u ahve written cds in packet mode
see what FS ur system supports
by
cat /proc/filesystems

okay sir, when i write another cd-rw ,that is perfect now...in some cd-rw happen like this....what was happen to that ...and also may i know where is the option for erace after burn....please help me...

If you use K3b "Delete after success" is a checkbox on "start" dialog. ckeck it off before pressing start

I do not have k3b installed now, I removed it, and cannot guide you step by step. Linux is about reaserch,BTW. But anyway

hi there
run this and see if u have support for "udf" FS
root@gaurav root]# modprobe udf
this on is for loading the udf module if it has been compiled as a module
then again check for udf FS support
[root@gaurav root]# cat /proc/filesystems
nodev sysfs
nodev rootfs
nodev bdev
nodev proc
nodev sockfs
nodev pipefs
nodev futexfs
nodev tmpfs
nodev eventpollfs
nodev devpts
reiserfs
ext3
ext2
nodev ramfs

and what OS are u using??
