How can I log in as root in the login-out box in 10.1 Official? All that's listed is "end session, turn off, and restart".

i don't follow... that's a logout option box, why should you logically be able to log IN??? end the session, then choose root next time you log in.

you've really not given much useful information about your problem.. what desktop? is the KDE? Gnome? what login manager? GDM? KDM?

Chose end session, wait for the session to close and a login box will come up giving you the chance to log in as root.

I figured it out. "End session" then login as root. I somewhat freaked out cause I can't get any audio. Thanks for the replies. Oh, KDE.
