lilo rescue.


i am using mandrake 10.0

i have lilo corupted. so can i use fedora cd to reinstall lilo.

i do not have mandrake 10.0 cd now.

so using fedora cd is it possible?

Yes.
Boot from the fedora cd.
Mount your Mandrake/Mandriva partition.
chroot your Mandrake/Mandriva partition.
Issue the command "/sbin/lilo".
Reboot.

also, the "-r" option can tell lilo to do the chroot for you:

-r root-directory
Before doing anything else, do a chroot to the
indicated directory. The new root directory must
contain a /dev directory, and may need a /boot
directory. It may also need an /etc/lilo.conf file.
