konqueror fonts messed up

I used urpmi to update my mandrake 9.2rc2 to cooker (i know someones gonna yell at me, but its getting close enough to release i don't really care)

When using knoqueror now as a file manager, the font used for filenames is hideous and huge. However, all other programs, and even konqueror for webpages, the fonts are what I set using the KDE Control Panel, and the Konqueror settings (yes i checked both of those)

I had the same problem when I upgraded from 9.1 to 9.2rc2 from CD, and doing a fresh install fixed it, but i obviously don't want to do that again. Thanks in advance, I can provide a screenshot if necessary.

I somehow fixed the problem by going into DrakFont and hitting prety much every button. Not really the solution I was looking for, but it did the trick.

Importing windows fonts seemed to be the only button that really did anything, why did this affect the apperance of konqueror? Thanks

It may be too late to help you, but I thought someone else might benefit from a solution...

I ran into this exact problem, although on my system it seemed to show up only on the root account, when I updated my system. I was able to fix it by changing the Konqueror File Manager font from the root user's KDE start menu: Configuration > KDE > Components > File Manager

There is a tab dealing with appearance where you specify the font. Interestingly, mine said "Adobe Helvetica 12", but was rendered in that same huge hideous font (I can't remember the name, but it started with a "b"). I tweaked it back to "Sans" and an appropriate size, and everything looked normal again.
