Konqueror cannot find media:/ when I plug in memory stick

Whenever I plug in a memory stick or mp3 player, I click to open a new window. This opens konqueror, and I get the message

"Cannot find parent item media:/ in the tree. Internal error."

Konqueror then opens up "system:/media/sda1", and I can see the files, and it is mounted on /mnt/removeable/

It all seems to work, apart from the error message, and it does not open to where it is mounted. Do you know how I stop this?

I am using Mandriva2007 free, with KDE 3.5

Not come across this
Which security level are you using? Try a lower one and see if problem persist (just for diagnostic)

Thanks for the suggestion. I couldn't work out how to change my security level. Instead I logged in as root and plugged in a memory stick and I didn't get the message.

Does this mean it is a permission problem?

I have found a media directory with the following permissions.

drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1024 Mar 14 19:55 media/

This seems ok, but I am not sure it is the right directory.
