Keyboard freeze when USB sound card removed
I am running Mandrake 10.0 (KDE) on an eMachines 5312 laptop, with a USB Sound Blaster Live MP3+ adapter (in addition to the onboard one).
Removing the USB sound adapter causes X to stop accepting keyboard input. Nothing, not even ctrl-alt-backspace, works. If I log out of X using the mouse and drop back to text mode, I have keyboard control again and can then restart X normally.
However, having to exit and reload X every time I remove the USB adapter is annoying. Anyone have any clue why this causes the keyboard to stop responding?
