Is this possible

Hi all,

Just installed Mandrake 9.2 last night , and its great !
I think it is quit a few notches above 9.1.

I am just wondering if it is possible to use my digital camera as a web cam, ie it captures the input and redirects it into the pc via the usb port.

Camera is a Sony dsp p32 and it is using the PTP protocol <<? to communicate with the pc.

Also what is the difference between the normal and PTP communications ,which is better .

Thanx

$yn

look under "multimedia -.> grraphics" menu, you most likely have GTKam (GPhoto 2) & FLPhoto (GPhoto 2). GTKam is the progam to setup to connect to your camera and FLPhoto would be the program to look at pics. I don't know about using it for a web cam though. I would google it.
