Unhappy Is it me, or does 10.1 suck swamp water?

I went through the install, had a heck of a time getting it up and working, ie samba, apache, shorewall, etc.. I have used Mandrake for years now, but been dissappointed since 9.2, anybody else feel the same way?? I hate to switch, but this is getting old. I installed FC3 on a server at work because I couldn't get Mandriva 10.1 up like I wanted. Anybody else having trouble??

Trouble is everywhere you look at Try fixing it. IT will take you some time, but in the end you will be satisfied by having a stable machine, running SLACK 10.1 Runs like a swiss watch for me ( with all servers)

It's you.

Inane jokes aside, I have found 10.1 to be the best version of Mandrake, yet! (And I have been playing with it since at least version 6.0.) I am looking forward to 10.2/2005 sometime this next month.

I'm not too satisfied either and even thinking of downgrading to 10.0 which ran perfectly for me. My problems are mostly due to my hardware though:
- It's not booting with my TV card in at all. Only boots when I take it out. (Recompiling the kernel with a patch that I have here might solve this.)
- The wrong sound card is configured as default. (Should be easy to fix - I hope)
- Font antialiasing does not work properly on my LCD monitor. Sometimes black letters have some green or red pixels aroung them. (None of the GUI settings for font aliasing have helped so far, even disabling all didn't. I guess I'll have to dig into the config files.)

That's three problems that I didn't have with 10.0 - and I didn't even start installing the graphics drivers yet.

I wasn't real happy with 10.1 either. 10.0 has been great for me and I still use it on my main server. Yesterday I loaded 2 machines with 10.2 and so far I like it.
