How to use Qemu

Hello everyone;

Due to my studies, I need certain programas of WinXP that I can not
substitute, such as Matlab, which is a very
powerful mathematics program.
I want to run it from within Linux,so I have decided to use Qemu.
Could anyone plese help me with this issue and post in a brief manner how
to: make a growable disk image, install
XP in it, and finally how could I access files which are outside the disk
image, for example in /home from the emulated XP.
I have installed in MDV2006 Qemu and Kqemu, this last one as a dkms service.

I would very grateful if anyone could help me. I really need Matlab running
and I could leave XP.

Best regards

http://fabrice.bellard.free.fr/qemu/qemu-doc.html

As qemulated machines are networked, you can do ftp, samba, smb, ssh etc...

Some options:
