How to...

Ok, i've got mandrake 9.2 up and running. I must say its cool!

Just a few questions. I'm a newbie to linux but always wanted to give it a try.

GRUB is working fine but what puzzles me is that instead of having a choice of 2 (Windows/Mandrake) i got a choice of 5 items from the menu. I know what to choose, but why are the rest there? For example Windows and Windows2...Is it possible to remove them?

Ok, basically i've go WinXP pro installed on my C:\ and D:\ is for my mp3s, movies etc... Linux is installed on a seperate partition on the same harddisk. Next thing i'm pondering over is how to access the mp3s and movies and pictures in my other partitions? (There're NTFS btw) I know its possible to read from NTFS partitions, but how am i going to do that?

FInally, everything is working fine, but i just can't manage to get my Canon i70 printer to work. Can't find their drivers. Also for my Billion 7000 USB modem and my 40GB portable USB Harddisk (Also NTFS)

open up Konqueror and use the up one level button until you are at root level (/)

go into the /mnt folder and you should see folders for the windows partitions

you can navigate round them as you would with any other folder
