How do I use the program called '*lit' ?

This program [C]onverts [Lit] files...! It came from PLF and I know it is installed because a file search found the exe file. But it doesn't show up in the menu. I have tried right-clicking on lit files. How does it work?

I can't find it in Google (although there's lots of other material there!), or in this site.

If a programm isn't in the menu, you can normally start it by typing it's name in a console. Or check the man page.

If you right click on the Mandriva Star you can edit your menu and add the program yourself manually. I assume that by exe you simply mean executable, and not .exe, the MS file extension for executable files. If you have a .exe file, you'll need WINE to run it, if you can run it at all. Otherwise, like was already said, just type the program name in the "run" box from the Star menu, or open up a console and run it from there, and if you need to add it to the menu, do like I said above.

Thank you for your responses. I managed to run it in a terminal window. It is a command line software, rather than the gui I was expecting. That means I'll need to THINK. Thanks again, that was quite educational for me.
