Has anybody managed to have WG111v2 working on Mandriva?
After 3 days trying to have my wifi USB key (Netgear WG111v2) working, I'd like to know if someone managed to have it working with Mandriva 2007.
I think I tried all possibilities with ndiswrapper (all the recommended Windows drivers) and with the realtek driver (which freezes the OS when I modprobe the module r8187).
Thanks in advance for information about success or not.
PS: For information, I discovered a bug that I didn't find in any forum: in order see my ESSID (iwlist wlan0 scan) I was obliged to select a new channel (works with channel 2, didn't work with channel 11...).
Tried to get my laptop wireless running for weeks. When I got the club edition it worked right away. couldn't really say why it started working. Just a guess though. Some non-free component that can't be distributed with the free edition.
