ftp client crashes in Mandrake 10.1 official

I've just migrated to Mandrake 10.1 official. Everything works like a dream except for a little ftp client glitch. Here's the problem:
The ftp client works fine until I do all my transfers without giving 'ls' command to it from command line. But as soon as I issuse 'ls' command and then ask for 'mget' the ftp client crashes giving segmentation fault.
Any ideas?

I'm using the command line to ftp. I'm not sure about the name of default client which comes with the distribution.
But an interesting observation was that gftp works fine.

hi,

if ftp is broken, you can use gtfp command line too. There is a gtk interface(gui) and the command line too(called gftp-text i think)

yeah but it gets tiresome when i just have to download 1 or 2 files. gftp takes so much more time to start.
