Force gnome to use oss driver

Basically, KDE uses the OSS driver for my soundcard and it works. In Mandrake control centre it's set up to use the oss driver (because I had problems with the alsa one). But gnome insists on trying to use alsa rather than oss. Is there any config file I can edit so it uses the correct stuff?

Thanks
