Rep:
flash plug-in is not working in mdk9.2
i downloaded and installed the flash plug-in onto my mdk9.2 computer (it is the most up-to-date plug-in)
but any site that i goto that needs the flash plug-in, i always get a pops-up message on my Mozilla 1.5 (1.6a pending) browser and (since it says that it is compatible with Mozilla[flash plug-in]) the plug in does not respond
Did you use the rpm or the source? I tried the source and it failed then tried the rpm and it works fine. There must be a dependency thats not met by just installing the source. The rpm is available from the commercial downloads section of the club under networking/www.
Ok, this has caused me some headaches. You can install flash 2 ways. !. by using the RPM given by Mandrake, or 2. you can use the tar file from Macromedia's Flash site. Either way you NEED to have the libstdc++ rpm package that was mentioned earlier installed. What gave me problems was the fact that Macromedia gives no hint of needing any libraries.
You will probably need to use the second method if you are using mozilla 1.5, since the standard install puts it somewhere else than where Mandrake has it. Just rememebr to dump the plugin files into /usr/local/mozilla/plugins
