Unhappy Disabled access to user accounts! HELP!

Hi there,

I rescerntly helped my girlfriend install Mandrake 9.1 on her laptop. While she was playing with it, she accidentally set all the logins except 'nobody' to hidden, and I'm not quite sure how to get back in to the OS to set them back to visible. Is there anyways to login to the shell or to get it to display the root login at the graphical prompt so I can get in and solve this? I would think it would be fixable by the command line, or you could boot to command line and then launch KDE as root, and change it. Any help would be SOOOOOOOOOOOO appreciated!!!

press ctrl+alt+F2 (or anything between F1 and F6) when you get to the login screen. This will get you to a text login.
If I understand the problem correctly, you should be able to login as a normal user just by giving the username and password (you won't see any reactions while typing in the password). Once you're logged in become root using the command

su

Then do

init 3

This will kill X. Then become normal user again and launch KDE manually by

startx

This will get you into KDE and then you can make the changes somewhere in mandrake control center or kde control center.
