Dell D600 laptop hangs on boot after 10.1 install.
Hi,
After what I thought was a successfull installation of Mandrake 10.1 Community edition on a Dell D600 laptop, I get intermittent hangs on boot. It seems to always be at the Detecting New Hardware stage of the boot process.
When it does boot normally, things work fine (apart from Madrake Update which I've found is problematic in the Community Edition).
Has anybody seen this issue before, or know what I might try to fix it?
Same here, even successfully install MDK10.1 nomatter official or community,i 've never pass initiliazing the services ,it stop at detecting new hardware or others.
I am seeing what sounds like the same problem on my Dell laptop, although if I am patient it will eventually move past that step and continue the boot process and ends up running fine. The pause seems to be, at various times, on the "Start udev" or "Detecting new hardware" and lasts as long as 3 minutes before continuing.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to troubleshoot this...
