BootItNG

I want to know if there is any other way to repartition my HD without installing BootitNG to its own partition. Can I just start the computer with the floppy inside and press cancel when the setup menu comes and resize my partition in maintenance mode. Will that work or will that mess up my computer, my Mandrake CDs are gonna arrive soon and I want to be prepared.

Note: Is the Mandrake resizer good or do you recommend to use another program?

When you install Mandrake...it will walk you through the steps.. I have had little trouble with their partioning tool..

In addition to your / partion and swap pratition I would recommend making a /home partition..

In this way all your personal files and custimizations to kde gnome etc won't be affected if you ever decide to re-install or upgrade later..

I don't know about RESIZING... I have not found Mandrake to do that.

It does manage existing partions and will create/and format.... new/existing ones if necessary.

Your best bet would be to backup your data and do fresh partions when you install Mandrake...

ok. You are recommending me to make different partitions for /home and /.
I have a 70 GB HD and I want to dual boot Windows and Linux, should I make more than one partition. Can you please post a partition setting?
