Booting from a ISO CD


Hello, I'm new with this... I've downloaded the Mandrake 9.2 3 cd's from a FTP mirror, and burn the ISO images...

Now... How tha @!!!?'żĄ do I intallit... browsing the CD's all that I can see is an enormus file, no cabs, no instals files, no nothing. just this huge file.

Thanks for your patience and advice

It sounds like you didn't burn the CD properly. An iso is supposed to be an image, so that when you burn it, it will "translate" itself, into many other files. Kind of like "unzipping" something. Try re-burning the CD using "burn iso" option.

If you've done it successfully your first CD (CD1) should look something like:
doc (directory)
dosutils (directory)
images (directory)
isolinux (directory)
lang (directory)
Mandrake (directory)
misc (directory)
autorun.exe
autrun.inf
... etc

From there, are you dual booting or making the whole machine Mandrake?
