block ping and ssh


Hello,
My server is mandrake10.1 off with :
eth0 as WAN with static IP connected to 512K DSL
eth1 is LAN

I am using iptables.

1. I would like to block ping to my external IP.

2. I would like to block ssh to my external IP

Howto to do it ?

the best solution

using shorewall(shorewall.net), an IPTABLES based Firewall

and DROP all packets on those ports
