Something a lot like winamp (XMMS)
Something a lot like itunes (w/o the store)(JuK)
Both those programs are probably already installed. Find them in the KMenu or hit [alt+F2], type juk or xmms and hit [enter].
Have fun,

XMMS - Winamp clone that's rock solid
bmp - GTK2 fork of XMMS.
Rhythmbox - iTunes clone for GNOME.

Not sure about stuff for KDE, but I'm sure there are plenty.

urpmi

if you've got mandrake, its much easier to use urpmi.

if you don't have any idea what that is, just go to the manual pages and read about it. its quite easy.

then just type urpmi xmms as root in a konsole and say yes to the dependencies.

if none of that makes sense just read about urpmi in the manual, its very straightforward and the best way to install software.

Mandrake 10 comes with xmms.

Go to the 'control centre' then 'software manager' then 'instal software'.

When you find it in the list (multimedia or sound) click on it and it will install.

No, I don't think so. XMMS is just a clone of Winamp 2.x

There are skins available for xmms: you have to get them from control centre. I think there are 2 or 3 'packages' of skins. Look at the list of xmms packages there. I can't remember if they are winamp but if xmms is a clone of winamp (see reply abov from Nis) I would have thought winamp skins would be ok.
