artsd problem hogging cpu and memory

Hi all,
I had a couple fatal server notices from the artsd servera few days back..So I went in the terminal and typed "top" to see, and it appears, that the artsd periodically jumps in
the lead with 6 to 9% of the cpu and 3 to 4% of my memory..
I have not been bothered for the last day or so but is this normal?
There is no sound when this happens..
I googled but was unable to find anything...

BTW this is in mandriva 2007.0

I only started having the same artsd problem after I upgraded 2007.0 with the MDE KDE 3.5.6 rpms. I never solved it but as it does not happen all the time I just kill artsd (killall -9 artsd) when needed - normaly it re-starts ok the next time it is needed.

I thought maybe I damaged my system some how..I looked today and did not see it at all..I wonder why it just appears randomly?
