I have no problem modifying the main ADVX server configuration files and getting virtual hosting up and running smoothly.

However, I notice that those .so modules I've selected which are located in /usr/lib/apache-extramodules, do not get into the build, as evidenced by their absence from the 'HAVE" listing as well as through the server-info output. And that includes ssl among other things!

The conf files call for these modules to be conditionally loaded if defined, for example <IfDefine HAVE_AUTH_PGSQL> ....
LoadModule auth_pgsql_module extramodules/mod_auth_pgsql.so

I've checked every module involved and only 7 modules are missing, the same 7 modulles in the extramodules directory. Obviously, the test fails and the modules don't get loaded.

Somehow the configure script is not accessingthe library it needs. I see libexecdir set to /usr/lib/apache2, but nothing pointing to /usr/lib/apache-extramodules.

I tried to use apxs -i to load them outside of the config process but it complains about absence of a bootstrap symbol???

Anybody been through this before and able to help me out of the darkness?
