I am not sure what you mean so assume you mean network connection?

mcc network/ network ctr/

click on the eth card you want to disconnect, some decision boxes then appear
choose disconnect

Exactly that is what I mean but I don't want to disconnect it I want to delete/remove it! In the 2007.1 and others there was in the mcc->network on icon for "deleting existing connections, now that's gone.... No problem for me... just asking...

yeah I think I know what you mean but I am on 2008 rc soon to move to free 2008.

I think you may need to create a new interface first in
mcc Nw-internet set up a new interface

then

go to manage nw profiles

click on the one you do not want

and delete it

see if that is what you want?

There is no 'remove interface" choice

I've got a similar problem

Just installed Mandriva One 2008. The good side is that it had the driver for my wireless USB NIC and ran the setup at installation. The bad part is that it won't let me change or delete the network settings from the network connections screen in the MCC. I can enter the changes but, when I click the OK button, nothing changes. They stay the same as they were before. I wanted to delete the interface completely but this particular distro seems to have forgotten to include a working delete button to remove a particular interface from the system entirely so I can start over.

Seems other users have reported a similar problem on the Mandriva site as well; no way to delete an interface and other buttons don't work.

Perhaps someone can tell me how to change the settings manually. I can change the type of wireless connection (Managed) and the network name with iwconfig but I'm not sure how to set the encryption to PSK-WPA and provide the encryption key unless I need to do that in the wpa_supplicant.conf file using vi or something

AQny advise would be great.

Thanx!

It's a pain that remove is now missing, and changing options seems difficult. I seem to have to just install new over the top of old... Quite strange really...

Oh, and no useful error messages. I had to run cli ndiswrapper to figure out why it wasn't loading the driver (due to an incorrect fileame).

But it does all seem to work okay...

Hi, you can find the network files in /etc/sysconfig/network. and network scripts

Cheers, Glenn
