2007 Running DVD causes logout (It rocks otherwise!!!)
Something I've never seen and not really sure what to check. Running 2007 on a Compaq Presario 700 laptop, P3 1ghz and 256 MB RAM. When starting a DVD using LinDVD or MPlayer, the program starts. When the DVD itself starts, the computer logs me out and returns to the log in screen!?! Is this a lack of memory problem? What can I look at to tell? Any clue where to look would be appreciated.
I have no idea why you would get this problem, however, I've got Mandriva 2007 installed on my laptop so I will have a look and see if I get the same problem and post back with any info I have. Won't be until tonight though!
I tried ICEWM. Same result. I even tried running mplayer from a terminal with the same result. I'm not a rookie (started with Mandrake 8.2 on a Presario 1270 laptop) but this has me stumped! Can anyone point me into the right direction as to which log I can look at to try and get a clue? Thanks.
It's weird, did you get any strange output from mplayer? When I tried it I get this:
Code:
