I have Mandrake 10.1 Community loaded on my PC. I see that Mandrake Official 10.1 is available for download and have just finished downloading it.
Is 10.1 Official just the finished product of 10.1 Community. I looked on the Mandrake site and it has Power Pack and Discovery, but I don't see anything about 10.1 Official.
It looks like it's a different product than Community. If I try to upgrade from Community to Official will it mess my installation up ? Does it have better wireless support ? Or would I be wasting my time with an upgrade.
Community releases are sort of test versions and then Official is the finished product. If you buy boxed sets, you get extra packages, nvidia drivers, java flash etc. The boxed sets are labelled as Powerpack, discovery etc, depending on the packages included. There is a link on the main page that you can use to download 10.1 official if you don't want to purchase a boxed pack.
